Businiess name:  Stark Heating & Air

Review content:
They will sell you a 'membership' plan to do 'free' maintenance and then find problems with your system. They shut down our heating system and wanted to replace the entire system several weeks later (two weeks without an HVAC!!!), claiming that it was a CO hazard. We have CO detectors in the home, including a very expensive low level detector that has NOT gone off at even the sub 25 ppm level. We had a second opinion done that found no leaks! This company took our money for the membership, and was only interested in installing a new HVAC system, oh and maintaining their 'excellent customer service rating.' To do this they were willing to shut our heating system down, without warning or any advance notice, and wait for us to schedule another appointment to quote us a price to replace the entire system. In my opinion, this is a shameful practice and it is too bad that there are so many untrustworthy and unethical HVAC businesses around, masquerading as good companies with A Plus BBB ratings. We wanted our story to be told so that it might keep others from trusting this company. If you have an older system, and are not ready to be forced into buying a new system, AVOID Stark Heating and Air. Excellence = HONESTY. Always has and always will.
