Run don't walk away from this bank if you need a mortgage they do whatever they can to get you to commit then change the offering when it is too late for you to go to another bank. Not sure why a hometown bank is so difficult to work with. There are so many choices, choose another bank for your mortgage. I would give them a zero if possible.
