I work at this facility and I know that the dogs are 100% of the time under supervision when loose. we do not leave old poop laying around! Dogs poop, we clean it up but we have other responsibilities as well and perhaps when you looked back there the attendant was cleaning a kennel from a boarding dog that may have made a mess in their space? This is a part of our responsibilities as well as preparing food for the boarders and feeding them in the morning, could they not have been feeding dogs? from the doorway this is not easily visible especially if you say you could not see the run because that is very near the entrance, which means you hardly even walked through the back door. also if you said you cannot see the run than how do you know that that isn't where the attendant was? Also with so many different dogs it is not possible to ALWAYS avoid a fight among them. any facility that allows interaction between the animals is bound to have a quarrel eventually. The lighting is in no way too low and when the dogs prefer to run outside it is not even relevant because they have the sunlight. In a group setting like this dogs tend to ""mark"" the area a lot so yes there is some peeing in the back but we clean it ASAP just as we do with poop. Also the owner has 4 golden retrievers not 5 labs and I'm sure that what she was talking about was probably not just chitchat. I have yet to come across a dog here with fleas, so please do not spread roomers of your assumptions when you have not even sent your dog here.
