I hate computers, I hate IT people like Al Queda hates democracy. Seriously. The Geek squad is crap. I know nothing about this tech stuff and I always avoid getting it serviced because I don't want to get screwed.
Then I went to Whole Foods on Fairfax, and I stumbled on to Stan's Garage. I had my laptop on me, and I was going shopping at WF anyway, so why not?
Thank God for happy little accidents like this. Stan is knowledgeable. His staff is super cool, the place is warm and inviting. The prices are cheap, and the service is kick ass. No waiting in line, no waiting in line in a corporate big box retailer for help that doesn't come from people who are too cool to care.
The place is awesome. Big TV's with the Laker game on. I told them my problem, they gave me some options and the whole time, they talked to me in PLAIN ENGLISH. Like I was an equal, like I was a HUMAN BEING. They fixed my laptop fast and cheap. One on one service. Such a good discovery on my part. And they have a dog! It feels like hanging out with a friend, not a business transaction. Can't recommend them enough!!!!
