Review content:
We would expect food that is exceptional and service that is top-notch for spending $100.00 for two diners (with wine). THAT WE CERTAINLY RECEIVED! The complimentary valet was courteous and efficient. The waitress was well-versed in her knowledge of the menu selections. My pork chop was from Berkshire (where the best come from) and easily two inches thick. The ""cracklin"" mac & cheese was unlike any I have had, and the creamed spinach - wow. The wife had corn-crusted snapper, delicious! Our desert, the grilled rum cake may have been over-grilled, as it was somewhat dry. Maybe we expected a moist Tortuga Rum Cake from the Carribean, that it wasn't. Whoever the owner was, we noted that he seemed to know everybody and ""minded the store"" well. We were there on a special occasion and paying this much is generally out of our league, but for this celebration, we were very pleased.
