Food - fresh ingredients, executed well, appropriately proportioned, lightly sauced and nice presentation
Wines - Outstanding selection - well priced, smaller boutique CA wines (they had several of our personal favorites). Shepard has not selected the standard boring fare, nor is he gouging the prices. Example, our starter of Domaine Carneros sparkling wine was priced only $5 above the price offered through their wine club.
Atmosphere - hip but yet somehow still a ""neighboorhood"" resturant
Service - good, but not five star (small things like entrees being placed at different times etc). This may very well improve with time since they just opened. The owner/manager Shepard Ross made the rounds several times to assure satisfaction.
Booking - we got in the after making a reservation the same afternoon however we noticed that multiple people were being turned away
Overall - Well done!
Pros: Excellent value, Strong wine selection, Not a place for kids
