OH how I love this restaurant. If you are wanting authentic ""just like my abuela made it"" mexican food, then this is your place. The 2 hot sauces are out of this world and just spicy enough to make it interesting. You simply won't find another restaurant in town that has salsa like Cuquitas, so enjoy it. Soon after you arrive they'll bring you complimentary tortillas to eat with your salsa. They are fresh as fresh can be!! My menu fav is the Chilaquiles con Chorizo. It's a yummy combination of pan fried tortillas strips, cheese, peppers, tomatoes, egg and finally chorizo (mex sausage). Forget your diet and try them. The rice has a homemade flavor and the beans are simple but satisfying. My next menu fav is the Chicken Mole Enchiladas, which are technically not on the menu. Just order them and they'll bring 'em no questions asked. The mole is delicious, sweet and savory. Ask for extra mole on the side! I would also recommend the nachos, queso flameado and the flautas. This place is open LATE, so late it's almost EARLY! Try to get a table inside the main ""house"" for the sake of ambiance and don't worry about not being able to speak Spanish. The waitresses know enough English to take your order and give you great service too. Pros: Yummy salsa, great mole, chilaquiles for breakfast Cons: Usually very busy, they serve margarine instead of butter.
