Review content:
I've been visiting this bakery off and on since it opened last winter. My experiences were somewhat inconsistent in the past -- sometimes a large selection, sometimes not. Not being a huge cupcake fan, I usually stopped by when I happened to be in the neighborhood and my sweet tooth demanded something. My last few visits, however, I've been really impressed. Today, there were 9 cupcake flavors, tons of really interesting cookies, plus cheesecakes and tarts that looked like they came right out of Gourmet magazine. I asked the girl behind the counter what was up, and she told me they have expanded their dessert menu and introduced a cupcake schedule in response to customer demand. Everything I've tried recently has tasted as good as it looks -- my fav today was the tres leches cake -- and I look forward to going back when I can afford the calories. My other complaint in the past has always been their early closing time, but now they're open late on the weekends. Now I find myself going out of my way to stop here for a sweet. Good news for my sweet tooth, not so much for my waistline.
