If there were some way to rate them lower, I would. I went to Bell Dental 7 years ago with a cracked molar. I knew I needed a root canal, and they were, sadly, the only ones who could get me in quickly to deal with my immense pain. They wouldn't do any work on me for the first visit, just the usual screenings and x-rays. Scheduled me in for 2 weeks later. Still, I thought, better than everyone else in town, right? No. During the first checkup, they decided that 18 of my 32 remaining teeth needed to be treated with some sort of high tech ""air"" (sand) abrasion technique, because there was, according to their little sonar wand, some decay in all of those teeth. Total cost? At $150/tooth, you can do the math. So could I. I let them do the root canal, because I was taking fistfuls of painkillers every day just to survive, but even that experience was rather lame - took the poor guy 2.5 hours of groping around to finally finish the job. The root canal has held out, and I had a crown put in by a legitimate professional instead of the crooks at Bell Dental. Seven years later, with annual or even twice annual dental checkups, I have had literally NO OTHER WORK DONE on my teeth. They are, according to the two last dentists I saw, practically perfect in every way. There is some wear on one of my molars where the top tooth rubs on the bottom when I close my mouth. That is all. Bell Dental is, based on my very limited experience, a Group of crooks, whose ultimate goal is to take full advantage of any patient, with or without insurance, to keep their cushy office right off Hyde Park Square. Stay away, just about anyone else in town will treat you like a real person, these people will not!
