Review content:
I had been dying to try Rick's since it opened last fall. I heard about their grand opening on a local radio station. We were dining with some friends and I suggested we try Rick's Pond View. After all, it was the grand opening, so I expected a lot. I didn't get it. We arrived around 8:30 and there were a few people at the bar in the restaurant area, and a few tables finishing up in the dining room. We were greeted by three pleasant young ladies dressed in black. Our server was very nice, but even though the restaurant was not busy at all, we had to pile up our salad dishes, and put them on the end of the table. The food was expensive, but the service was not in tune with the price we paid. The portions were very small. The flavor was OK, but not great. For the prices it should have been WOW. The thing that impressed me the most though was that I never saw Rick. You would think that at his grand opening he would at least try to get to every table and meet the guests. In fact after the initial greeting from the hostesses we never saw them again either. Won't go back.
