Review content:
This Speedy Auto Service is located on 20650 Grand River Avenue in Detroit. I mention the address because there are other ""Speedy Auto Services"" in Detroit. I reside in Chicago but visited relatives in Detroit during the pre-Easter and Easter holidays. Anyway, on Good Friday, my sister noticed that something was hanging from underneath my car. The next day, we had our dad, who was also visiting from out of town, look under the car. My father told me that the heat shield was loose and I should have the problem resolved before I return to Chicago. My brother-in-law suggested a nearby auto service but the manager told me that his shop did not provide that kind of service on such short notice. He suggested that I take my car to Speedy Auto Service. I called Speedy Auto Service and explained that I was from Chicago and would have to leave Detroit on Monday morning. The owner, Eugene, was most kind. He told me to bring my car to his shop immediately. The mechanic, Chris, also was courteous and very knowledgeable. Originally, I thought that my heat shield was knocked loose by some pot holes on Detroit streets. However, Chris put my car on a lift and showed me the rust underneath my car. He explained to me that when salt is placed on city streets (for example in Chicago) overtime, rust and corrosion takes it toll on certain car parts. He then quickly fastened the heat shield. My father, said that it was good that I had the problem addressed immediately because my car might have caught afire had I tried to drive back to Chicago. The owner and mechanic were friendly and competent. Also, the price was very reasonable. With all of this said, I give Speedy Auto Service FIVE STARS
