I had a very successful move using Clear Lake Movers and then a not so pleasant experience. The movers themselves are FANTASTIC. The problem is navigating the owner's mood swings. I understand Jacor's frustration below. When the owner is in a bad move, he thinks he is the only person who works on an hourly wage/rate. And he's "doing you a favor". He would only be doing someone a favor if he were doing it for free. I wasn't asking for a favor, I was asking him to move my belongings. I couldn't wait more than an hour without an explanation as to why his crew hadn't shown up. He got very rude and told me I needed to call someone else.....so I did. Making customers wait or not properly communicating how the process will work causes his clients to lose $$$$ too. Maybe some Celexa or other mood swing drug would benefit his business. Again, the movers were GREAT! Pros: null Cons: null
