I found the Owner of Clear Lake Movers (David Reyes) to be rude and the taking advantages of the Hispanic workers that he employs. Some of them are so young that one would feel guilty, trying to move large pieces of furniture. The cash business and require to pay 15% surge charge for nothing sound fishy. I am curious if IRS or Immigration people have look into his business. I want to ensure when he charges $35/hr for each person that at least each one makes $15/hr. more

For the most part the movers were very 6/8/2013

For the most part the movers were very professional. They were a little late but they were working before they came to my house so that is understandable. They really didn't stop moving for the four hours they were working except for a phone call here or there. Some furniture was broken but arrangements were made to have most of them fixed before I left. They were very hard working and nice guys. more

I had a very successful move using 6/11/2012

I had a very successful move using Clear Lake Movers and then a not so pleasant experience. The movers themselves are FANTASTIC. The problem is navigating the owner's mood swings. I understand Jacor's frustration below. When the owner is in a bad move, he thinks he is the only person who works on an hourly wage/rate. And he's "doing you a favor". He would only be doing someone a favor if he were doing it for free. I wasn't asking for a favor, I was asking him to move my belongings. I couldn't wait more than an hour without an explanation as to why his crew hadn't shown up. He got very rude and told me I needed to call someone else.....so I did. Making customers wait or not properly communicating how the process will work causes his clients to lose $$$$ too. Maybe some Celexa or other mood swing drug would benefit his business. CL Movers are the BEST ! David has an awesome crew working with him. They helped me out of a jam in a hot minute ! Not only did they come to my rescue at the very last minute, they rescued me in the pouring rain and when no other moving company would come out in the rain THEY DID !! This is why I called on them again and will recommend them to everyone and anyone. They are professional, courteous, VERY reasonable in price and most important they are reliable. I had to reschedule my move and Chris was SO helpful. He told me that considering where I lived and where I was moving, he would recommend a 3 man crew and to expect 3 hours. The quote he gave me seemed fair. Moving day, the 3 men and truck arrived. They were quick, careful and very professional. All three men were courteous and understanding when I changed my mind about where to put things. They got the job done in two hours. When I move again, Clear Lake Movers will be my first call. Very disappointed! Owner, David Reyes lied to us and became very rude. I talked to David almost a week before to set up my boyfriends move. My boyfriend was moving from a 1 bed room 2nd flood to a new house we bought. He had very little furniture as I have the most of it in San Antonio that will be moved in June. David was very nice to me at the time I set up the move and told me that a 2 man crew could do it and it was a minimum of 2 hours. I said that was a good price and thought that he was nice guy so I said ok. If I move again, Clear Lake Movers will be my first call! Customer Service was outstanding from beginning to end! The movers were awesome did everything I asked and more. The price was low and for the service they give you, you will not beat the price. They delivered on everything they said they would do. They did not waste any time and did not stop until the last box was in my place. It took them less than four hours to pack out my 2 bedroom apt and move it to my new place; and the best part of everything was there was no damage to my stuff! . Used 3 times, will not use again! 10/10/2011

I used them twice before and received good service although they were a little late. The third time I scheduled at 7am. By 8am I was calling to find out where they were because I never received a call. By 8:50am they FINALLY showed. It began to rain after the first hour they were there. A three hour move turned into 4 hours because the rain delayed everything by an hour. I received no break from the owner because of the rain which was understandable however, they were 2 hours late which caused my move to occur during the rain. What should have cost me $270 + tax/surcharges turned into $407 total! I was very unhappy!!! more

In the past 10 years, I have moved 9 times. Yes...9 times. Of the 9 times I have moved, I have used movers on 8 of them. I have had some really horrible experiences with movers before (showing up late, broken stuff, move taking forever). But, Clear Lake Movers is, bar none, the absolute best moving company I have ever done business with. more

Best Moving Experience 6/21/2011

We've moved several times, and this was by far our best experience. We hesitated getting movers as we've tried it twice, and our experiences were awful. Clear Lake Movers; however, surprised us. They were on time and got the job done in 2 hours. Everything was put where we asked, nothing broken, and the movers were friendly. We were floored. They know what they're doing. At the last minute, we asked them to pull down a windchime from the patio, so a mover grabbed it and put it in the front of the truck. A few days later, I got a call from the mover saying the windchime was left in the truck and he brought it to my job. He had called that same day, but I was off for the move. I was impressed. I highly recommend them and will use them again. Great job!! Thank you! more

Great movers! 2/11/2011

Called and immediately felt that this was a trustworthy moving company . The movers were on time, very fast, and moved us in less time than i thought they would. They never slowed down once like you get with alot of movers. The price was outstanding - you couldn't get moved for any cheaper. Nothing was damaged and I was assured that if something was - they were insured for it. more

The guys did a great job. Our new office is on the second floor and the stairway is very narrow. The movers did an excellent job moving heavy oversize furniture. They were very professional and provide excellent service at affordable prices. Best of all no damages. more
