When I brought my 1 1/2 year old cat into the office, I knew something was wrong with her and explained the symptoms. They ran some blood tests and couldn't find anything. At this point the bill was already $260. They wanted to run more tests (another $300+) that I couldn't afford, and I asked if they would take payments for the balance. They refused to help and said the only thing they could do was give my cat an antibiotic shot (for $45) and send her home. 2 days later, my 1 1/2 year old cat was dead. She was in agony her last few days and there was nothing I could do about it. They could give two sh*ts about your animal and care only about the money. I have noticed this from several other vets I have come across and it is getting to the point where I can't even afford the most basic medical treatments for my animals due to the excessive gouging. Even the cost to put animals to sleep is $150 or more. Really?? I know people need to make a living, but D@MN!! They are going overboard. Sadly, the .22 pistol I have is going to have to be my new form of Euthanasia.
