It will be 2 years ago in January that I got my puggle Winston from Pet City Pets. My poor Winston was sent to me on Jan. 3, 2006. I picked that cute little guy up from the airport and took him home. He seemed a little tired but other then that was fine. I the noticed that he had a cough, took him to the vet where they said he had kennel cough. I took him home and put him on medication. The next night Winston was up chucking and had bad # 2's. I took him to the vet early the next morning before work where they said they needed to keep him for tests. Winston died the next morning of Kennel Cough, Pneumonia, and Parvo. Parvo is a virus that will eat the dog's intestines and make them up chuck and have bloody # 2's until they die. It is a VERY PAINFUL death and I watched this poor little puppy go thru this. I contacted Stu after he died and he said that he was not responsible for that because we had given him Parvo when the vet and all of the websites about it said that it takes 12 days to contract and I had him 5! They would not repay me for my $2000 in medical bills for one day or the $200 for the flight but they did refund my money for Winston without a "sorry for your loss". I did some investigations and found out that I was not the only one who had a puppy die from them. I also contacted the Humane Society and they already had reports out on them and they said they would add mine to it. So for the lady who said that they were the best and that the humane society was not involved... YOU LIED or was misinformed because I am one of the people who told them about it. I am telling Winston's story so that no one else has to go thru what I did. At least I knew what was going on, unlike children. Pros: Winston was very cute, sweet and smart Cons: He DIED after I had him for 5 days
