They provided me with an estimate of how much my insurance would cover. I figured the estimate was probably close enough (that's WHY they call your insurance beforehand, to provide you with as accurate info as possible). I did the procedure and a week or two later received a bill from them for $200. I asked them if they had in fact called my insurance before providing me with the estimate, and if they knew this was going to happen. They said they did call, they knew that less would be covered than expected, but that I had signed something stating that I understood this was just an estimate. These people are SO dishonest and couldn't care less as long as they got their money. All other dentists I've ever been to made it clear up front what the insurance company would cover so that I could make an informed decision, such as do the procedure over a longer period of time, for example. I've learned my lesson that it's my responsibility to call my insurance to verify that the information is correct, but still, these people are careless and deceitful.
