Review content:
I wanted to make sure to write a review of this place after my daughter attended, and I had read all of the horrible reviews it received from other patients on this website. My daughter was admitted late on a Sunday night, and I advised the nurse at the time that I would like her discharged no later than the following Friday. They advise it shouldn't be a problem. I met with who would be her Doctor, Dr. Okeke, and the nursing and therapy team on Monday morning. They were all very nice and seemed like the actually listened to what I was telling them. I also explained that I wanted her out by Friday, if possible. I then began what would be one of the hardest weeks of my life. You are only allowed visitation twice a week during the week, and one 5 minute phone call once per night. It was so hard! The first night of visitation I was allowed, I went down to see her. I was allowed to stay extra time, and was even allowed to eat dinner with her in a private room! The charge nurse was awesome. I would call each day a few times a day to check on her, and the people on the phone were always very nice. I do have to say there is a younger girl that works at the front reception desk, and she is very rude. She makes you feel like you are bothering her. There is also an older lady, and she was very nice. We also had a family therapy session where I was able to speak with the therapist, Jim, who was working directly with my daughter. My daughter also joined us. I could see the light bulb turning on in my daughter while we were speaking with the therapist. He has funny, and was able to relate to her even though she is only a teenager. Some of the information he provided to her is still with her now, and for that, I am grateful. Each time I went to visit with my daughter, she said the staff were very nice to her, and the other patients were nice to her as well. She felt a little like being in jail, but once I explained why, she was okay with it. My daughter was discharged on Friday morning, just has I had asked. The billing lady was nice, the discharge nurse was nice. We have an overall good experience. I wanted to make sure to put this up for anyone looking for reviews. My daughter and I had good experience with this facility, and if needed, I would recommend her going back for additional help.
