I was referred to her and was new to the area. My first visit, I thought everything was fine and trusted them. Angie went over my concerns and they spent a good while explaining everything and making sure I understood. However, they told me they needed to do a culture for bacteria, I had a few cavitities and I needed a deep cleaning for gingivits. So I came back for my cleaning. I guess I was not informed very well what a deep cleaning was. I should have known something was up when they kept offering me numbing products just for a cleaning. Of course this costs more money along with the culture, which by the way came back negative. After the deep cleaning experience which was horrible by the way (listening to a drilling noise for an hour and in pain for a good time afterwards) I decided to get a second opinion. They second opinion told me I might have one cavity, but did not need the deep cleaning and did not have any sort of bacteria or gum disease. Dr. Goodman wanted to drill all of my teeth since I had "deep grooves in my teeth" she did give me the option though so it was not something that they said was required. Although, they wanted to do another deep cleaning 2 weeks after the first one. I would probably not recommend this dentist as I felt like they were just trying to sell me things in order to make money (Ex: teeth whitening, water flosser, toothbrush etc)!! Maybe filling all of your teeth and have deep cleanings is normal, but I had never had a cavity a day in my life. Yes, I knew I probably had gingivits, but not to the point where it needed to be deep cleaned twice! If you do go to this dentist I would recommend getting a second opinion. Maybe what she is doing is correct as it is preventive measures, but it costs a lot of money and hurts! Who wants to go through pain just to prevent cavities, gum disease etc. when you have had perfectly normal teeth all of your life and never had any problems? Maybe I just had a bad experience, but just be careful!!
