Dr. David Shaffer at the NOVA spine & Injury center is an excellent spine specialist. He listens to the patients and is very good at working on the specific problem without trying to push you into other avenues of treatment. He educates you about your problem and what he is going to do with you to help reduce the pain for short term and long term. He gives you exercises that you can do at home that are reasonable and will continue to improve whatever your problem is. I had severe back pain and within 3 to 4 months of regular visits the pain had cut in half. I am able to do many of the activities I had given up because of the back pain.
