I know I just reviewed an ice cream store in Coralville, but it dawned on me that if I was going to review one I had to review Dane's Dairy. After all, Dane's has been around as long as the Dairy Bar and it WAS one of the first places I frequented when I first moved to the area 20 years ago!
Dane's dairy is conveniently located just off the main drag in Iowa city. Another small ice cream place, it has the added feature of a drive through window for your convenience! Although I DO suggest you buy this ice cream in gallon containers, I also suggest that you add a couple of cones onto your order because when you see and feel that cool ice cream container, you will be salivating like Pavlo's dog before you get home if you don't satisfy that ice cream urge with a quick cone.
The service is friendly and quick here and it is a breeze to get in and out of this place. I cannot imagine Iowa City without Dane's Dairy and I think if you make the trip yourself to Dane's you will agree with me that Dane's is a creamy dream come true!
