Businiess name:  Menil Collection
Review by:  J E.
Review content:
Visiting the Menil Collection is always a wonderful time due to the magnificent treasuries it holds and the lack of any barriers to the public. As far as the art goes, it is mainly surrealist and modern. Modrian, Picasso, Magritte, Warhol, Johns, Ernst ... but also includes Greek and Byzantine antiquities. While some of the works are odd or different, you are certain to identify some widely recognizable paintings. The fact that the Menil is rarely crowded, never noisy, and does not charge admission amplifies the experience each time you go. Knowing that you can always come back and never have to stand in line or worry about admission allows you to wander around and relax in a way that is hard to do in many other museums. I rate it perfect for this rare combination, the art is truly inspiring and there is no burden of any sort on the viewer.
