Review content:
Shleifers has helpful in store customer service and reasonable prices for average quality furniture--which seems to be hard to find in portland. I purchased a bed as I'm new in town and had it delivered. On the day of delivery everything went well, but one of the delivery guys obviously stole my phone. I say obviously, because at this point there is literally no furniture or packing boxes (everything was shipped and hadn't arrived yet), just a sofabed, myself, and the new bed. There was literally nowhere I could have lost this phone, which I had used five minutes before shliefers showed up to send some texts to my boyfriend. I was also at home all day waiting for deliveries. I called shliefers to see if I could get my phone back (this is a $400 phone and I just moved, kind of a big deal!) and while they put the delivery guy on the phone, his answer was evasive and weasely. He tried to make me feel bad for accusing him of stealing my phone, without actually saying "No I did not take your phone". Stupid me, for leaving my phone on the sofabed while I helped him with opening the doors. I wasn't expecting the spanish inquisition, but I wish they were a tiny bit more helpful, or hired slightly more honest people to deliver furniture! I have lived in major cities (much bigger than portland) my entire life until now, and have never dealt with anything like this before. Pros: good furniture, decent prices Cons: delivery guy stole my $400 phone
