Review content:
I ordered a new water heater through PSE&G. JT O'Brien performed the installation. I had initially read some of the reviews on here and was concerned,so I called PSE&G, who told me that O'brien does more than 10 installations a day for PSE&G and has an excellent track record. Also, PSE&G stands behind the work. I found them to be courteous, prompt and helpful. I initially ordered a simple heater. When they pointed out that prior work was not done according to code and that I would have to have my chimney lined (costly), we discussed other options. (BTW, I confirmed what they had told me). I ended up getting the AO Smith Vertex 100, which does not vent through the chimney and has 96% thermal efficiency. I only needed a 50 gallon tank, rather than the 75 I had planned to get. I love the heater - and I expect lower gas bills. I will also be able to get a 30% Federal tax credit. So - I am totally satisfied.
