I am so happy with the service I receive from Model’s Ink. I have not been to a new salon in 10 years, and I was very apprehensive. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the reasonable prices, professionalism of the staff, and the positive atmosphere of the salon. I am treated like a valued customer, and my hair is very healthy since I have been going to my stylist Melanie. Most salons they want you in and out. I was so nervous trying a Salon after my Mom doing my hair for 22 years. I decided to attempt relaxing my own hair, but my thick roots were hard to tame! I finally decided to find a professional salon and give it ago. I googled ethnic hair salons and started what would be a month long search and research them. I finally found Models Ink Hair Studio. The reviews were excellent and more recomended than any other salon in the area. Any way I made my appt with Nakia the owner! I drove from Nj it was so worth the trip! When I arrived everyone was so nice. Nakias staff is wonderful! I have a very sensitive scalp! The stylist based my scalp well and applied the affirm moisturizing relaxer in record time! I had no burns! My scalp felt amazing! They conditioned it, dryed it! I've always had long hair and I decided I wanted a new style a short bob cut to be exact! I wasn't going to trust just anyone with that task! Nakia is known as the Bob Queen! Guess what its true! She made me feel very confident! She was very precise and I feel like a new and sexy woman! I love my new hairdo! I'll be going back for sure! If you want bangen hair join the family at Models Ink! I was complimented all day after my appt! Now thats what i'm talking about! more

This is the perfect salon. Wonderful hours, very convenient, all services are reasonably price. Great atmosphere. \r After several years of searching for the perfect salon, I found it! Model's Ink is trendy and I love the vibe when I walk through the door. The salon has an open layout with lots of windows which is wonderful; you get to see what your color is actually going to look like when you leave. \r Their staff is extremely professional and friendly. The young lady at the front desk checked me in and out quickly and efficiently. My stylist looked at the shape of my face and gave me suggestions as to what she thought would look best on me. She gave me a caramel base with lighter highlights and left the long length that I had but added lots of textured layers. Words cannot explain the exceptional hair service and staff professionalism I received from Models Ink Hair Studio July 14, 2011. I learned of this five star talented hair salon through an online research in the yellow pages. There were five other star salons listed and I could have chosen any of them, but due to the name, bios of the stylist, and the pictures of the clients hairstyles, I finalized my decision with Models Ink Hair Studio. I spoke with an awesome receptionist named Teresa who booked me an appointment the day I called at the earliest time available. Teresa you are a saint and a hair saver. I knew after my conversation with Teresa and after reviewing Models Ink Hair Studio website this was no doubt the salon for me to go to. The location was very nice, parking was available, and more importantly I was instantaneoulsy greeted with smiles and hello's when I walked in. When I came to Models Ink Hair Studio, I had short hair, which was terribly broken off in the lower back area. The owner Nakia told me I would be taken care of and my stylist would arrive by 12 noon. My stylist Melanie arrived and spoke with me about my hair and what I wanted to have done. I was clueless. I just wanted my hair corrected. After sorting through tons of photos, I found two and Melanie told me the photo that would work best with my hair. Trust me she performed magic with those stylist hands and tools of hers and without chopping away the other length of hair that was not broken off. I will add, I was very honest with Melanie about my downfalls and errors I made with my hair, which aided Melanie in giving me the best hairstyle ever. BE HONEST LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WITH WHATEVER STYLIST YOU SHALL RECEIVE. Melanie you are an exceptional stylist and provided the greatest smile on my face as well as information on how to maintain my hair and keep it in good condition. Thank you. My husband loved my hairstyle and my children were shocked and could not stop smiling. My family said I looked totally different in a very good way. Models INK Hair Studio is a wonderful refreshing hair salon. The staff is friendly, and inviting. I started going to Nakia (the owner) over 2 years ago while she was at Xquisite. When I learned that she was leaving, I had absolutely no problem following her to her new location. Nakia is very skilled in al areas of hair styling, and care. Over the past few years, she's done my own hair, given me a very natural looking sew-in weaves, and even customized a few wigs for me...she is NO DOUBT ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE BEST STYLIST IN THE CITY!! I have NEVER left her chair unsatisfied. She works so hard to ensure that you are satisfied with your style. Also, Nakia is extremely professional, inviting, and makes all clients at her salon feel at home. Her salon is one of the few places I know that offer both professional customer service, as well as a variety of wonderful hair styles. Lastly the prices are affordable, and worth the price since your hair will be sharp! My mother, and my teenage daughter are also happy clients of Nakia! This is the best salon in philly i mean the best .I been too alot of stylist in philadelphia ,new jeresy, and i had a friend tell me about a salon in new york and i try all of them .But models ink is the one for me,Nakia was my stylist and she did a bob weave for me .when my family and friends seen my hair they ask who did your hair and were did you go i said models ink hair studio .I LOVE that nakia you GO GIRL ! Since Nakia is good at her craft there maybe times when there is a wait but it is well worth it. Her weaves look natural and they use good products for your hair. Models Inc. Salon is the epitome of what every woman wants in a hair salon. It's in a nice neighborhood that is accessible via public transportation and the atmosphere of the salon is quiet and serene. The stylists work diligently to get their clients in and out. My mother and mines stylist was the owner Nakia. I called a half hour before I came to the salon and asked for a haircut. Nakia told me to come right in. I sat for maybe 3 minutes before Nakia called me back and began cutting m hair. I smiled the whole time I was in the chair. She gave me great hair tips on how to manage and continue the upkeep on my hair. I was in and out the chair in all of 20 minutes. In the middle of my cut my mother wanted to get a curl. By the time I was cut and styled, my mother was washed and ready to be blow dryed. Nakia blow dryed and styled my mothers hair in less then 20 minutes and the results were phenomenal. My mothers hair was light and fluffy and full of body. Overall, my mother and mines experience was great. The service was great, the atmosphere was peaceful and the stylists were on point. Me and my mom were in the salon for maybe under an hour. Models Inc. is the salon to go to when you want great service, affordable prices and awesome customer service. more

I've been with my stylist Nakia for about 4 years and when she opened up Models INK on Tyson Avenue, I knew that I would love it! The salon is located in a nice neighborhood and the parking is free. The salon itself is very open and airy - always neat and professional! All of the stylists are friendly and make you feel welcome. I have always been pleased with my hair when I'm done. Nakia always knows exactly what I want and how to create the look I like! I bring my daughter to the salon too. She recently got her hair braided (thanks Brianna!) and she loves it. I have been three time and received the same service from 2 ladies (Nakia and another stylist whose name I can't remember-wash, condiion, straightened with hot comb, lil bump) OH and one time I got a dusting (trim) from Nakia and each time I have loved my hair and all of the girls are easy to talk to and communicate with. Great extended hours and the prices are good for the services. Salon is also in a nice neighborhood with free parking. So far so good, I will surely return. :) more
