St. Edward Catholic Church is located in the small town of Mackville. The parish built a beautiful new church just a few years ago. The parish has that small town close-knit family atmosphere. They have a Catholic elementary school next door, sharing the same parking lot. There is ample seating in the air-conditioned church. They offer many prayer meetings other than the weekend mass schedule, such as the Lenten preparation gatherings, religious education classes for students in grades K-12, and weekday masses. They are quite well-known for their annual Nationals Truck and Tractor Pull, which take place in June.
