When it comes to grocery stores, Oleson's is the first name. They have been a part of the Traverse City community for generations. Their store on Long Lake Road is very spacious and offers a wide selection, including a full deli, bakery items, produce as well as groceries. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. One thing I have noticed is that I always check the dates on things like yogurt, cottage cheese etc because sometimes they have items on the shelf that are past their date.
One reason to shop at Oleson's is the fact that they are very supportive of the community in which they have their businesses. They give generously to different groups in town and in particular the local community college. They are a wonderful group of people.
