For the homeschooling parent, nothing can be as daunting as organizing large scale social activities for your kids or teaching them algebra.
Fortunately, CHEF is a great support group. They have social activities at least 2-3 times a week, and can direct you to a "Co-Op" of parents - where another parent may teach a group of kids pre-calculus, while you teach the same group photography.
While it is a Christian group, these are not crazy, radical right-wing christians. As long as everyone is a fellow believer, no one pushes their personal preferences on you. You'll see some mom's there with covered heads & long dresses, others in the latest GAP styles. It's a very open environment.
