HMO's have had there fair share of bad press. However, I have been with Kaiser Permanente for over 3 years and have had no problems. I also have a family member with cancer who has received excellent care and all the tests she could ever ask for. HMO's may not be the cheapest. However, there is a lot to be said for not having a deductible or having to pay 80% of a $10,000 bill.
