The Calvert Marine Museum is tucked away in Solomons Island. It packs a lot of Southern Maryland history into a small space. There are regular exhibits, kids camps, and summer concerts by big names such as Bill Cosby and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Our favorite is the Patuxent River Cruise on the Wm. B. Tennison. It's an hour-long cruise on the river, complete with history of the area.
