I always thought the idea of a neighborhood hardware store was a farce. But Cole Hardware is just that. So much so, I’ve been throwing around the idea of buying one of their sharp looking black t-shirts, logo emblazoned on the front. What an important role this place plays when you need something for the apartment! A light bulb, some screws, paint. Prices are reasonable and every so often there are sales – I’ve bought two, high quality iron skillets here, lured by discounts. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful, and the place is so jam packed with stuff, they usually have whatever you need to fix whatever it is that’s broken or needs improvement.
