There's a greeat bookstore on South Street in Philadelphia called Wooden Shoe Books. It's on 508 S 5th Street.
It's a specialty book store, catering to anarchist and leftist politics, as well as queer, punk, black history and more.
It's a small shop, and it's all volunteer. It doesn't have a boss, either: all workers make descisions with each other at monthly meetings.
As far as price, it's an independent bookstore, so it sells most things at cover price (the price the publisher has specified). They also sell pamphlets, zines, music, t-shirts, magazines, stickers, pins and patches.
