This is one of the best things Tacoma has to offer! I spent many weekends at this spa. Unlike most spas, Olympus offers women (sorry guys) full use of all their facilities for a relatively low cost (it has gone up to $25 I think). That buys you as much time as you want--good for the whole day. If you can get over the no clothing policy (trust me, no one is looking), you can slip into one of their many soothing whirlpools--from the icy all the way to very hot. In between these soakings, women furiously scrub themselves with drugstore-bought scrubber gloves to eradicate all dead skin cells.
In addition to the soaking tubs, Olympus has a steam room, dry sauna, and three heated "zen meditation" rooms. It is hard to peel yourself out of the spa and get back in your car. The pay services are nice every once in awhile (I would recommend the Korean style body scrub), but the run of the place suits me just fine. My question is this: does NYC have anything like this?
