The Village Theatre is a lovely, local live theatre that is just the perfect size and scope. They attract some nice, smaller-scale plays and this is a great alterniative if you don't feel like driving to downtown Seattle and finding parking near the Paramount or the 5th Avenue. I took my older kids to see the Nutcracker here in December and I was pleasantly surprised. The theatre is small and intimate, with steep seating - which makes it easy to see, even for kids!
