Izzy's is famous for their tamales with good reason. They are fabulous and have been for decades.
The tamale platter comes with two generously sized tamales in your choice of vegetable or beef. The vegetable is smothered in cheese dip and served with chips and cheese dip. The beef is smothered in chili and served with chips and salsa. Both are fabulous (although I'm partial to the veggie), and sometimes it's hard to choose between the two. No problem. Get one of each!
The menu boasts a wide variety of items, including very good brick-fire oven pizzas and dessert. Don't forget to save room for dessert!
When paying the check, go ahead and splurge and buy frozen tamales to toss in the freezer for another day.
