Since mid Cape doesn't have the big orange evil (Home Depot) or Lowes, you are left with your smaller hardware stores. This one is a good option. It's funny because they definitely have a "Cape" clientele (lots of outdoor furniture, decking supplies, etc.). They are a Pratt & Lambert paint distributer, and they guys in the paint department are very patient and friendly (they have an excellent paint matching service). All the staff is rather friendly -- I don't know how it would be in the height of summer, but the natives are friendly to the locals in the off-season. It's a medium sized hardware store that carries all your basic supplies but doesn't have the tons of kitchen and bath stuff that the superstores have (things like wide variety of vanities, toilets, cabinetry, etc). Well situated on the main road with plenty of parking and easy to find.
