My husband and I discovered the Apollon restaurant in Appleton in January. Actually, we knew about it before, but finally were able to make it there (they were closed other times we visited - they do have shortened hours from many other restaurants!). Well, we had the best gyro plate ever! The atmosphere is divine, the staff is extremely nice. And the food is superb! We just went back again, and had to order the gyro plate again because it is so VERY good! Only bad thing is, the gyro plate doesn't come with a pita bread - you have to order it separately. Very odd. It's only like an extra 75 cents though.
