J. Crew is popular with the preppier dressing set. But aside from that, their quality is usually terrific. I have J. Crew sweaters I've had for years that I still regularly wear. The J. Crew outlet has a good selection if you are looking for wardrobe staples. I think their clothes are too pricey for me to buy their trendier stuff (like gauchos with your suit jacket -- who wears that?), but for sweaters, khakis and pullovers, this is a great outlet with fair (compared to the catalogue and store) prices.
