I stayed at the Red Roof Inn when it was the only vacant place I could afford for a college graduation. I was pleased to find it not only clean and safe, but newly remodeled so that the rooms are actually cool and relaxing now. No more mauve; it's all about blue and accents of red. They may be overstating their delight by offering to sell you your own industrial fleece blanket, and the mattress still sucked (maybe that's the next upgrade). But all in all it's much improved and definitely not your grandmother's Red Roof Inn. T-Mobile internet access if you need it.
