Colorado’s own independent bookstore chain, Tattered Cover, has big selection AND big morals. The store believes in America’s right to individual privacy, and therefore recently refused to release customer purchase information to our rather conservative government. The store also believes in the value of donating to charities: instead of members getting a discount on their purchases, a portion of their purchases goes to the charity of their choice. Each location also features a café, comfortable and unique seating throughout the store, and that comfortable bookish atmosphere that we bookworms so love!
