Imagine arriving by a ferry boat to a lovely island where the only transportation
is by horses and/or bicycles. The homes are authenic victorian and the streets are lined with shoppes of fudge and many gifts. Mackinac is a hallmark of natural beauty insomuch that you feel as if you are dreaming while
you are there. I remember the day we went it was raining and I thought it would really damper our spirits. But even in the rain it has its own distinctive
charm and I am grateful that my children had the chance to experience this.
