The Melting Pot is not your run-of-the-mill date restaurant. Prepare to astound your loved one with delicious food, a romantic atmosphere, and an impressive wine list.
This restaurant, which looks suspiciously like it took over an old Pizza Hut building, features dark, wooden accents with dim lighting, and romantic niches-- not for the claustrophobic! Wait staff is knowledgeable and just distanced enough to be helpful but not always bothering you.
I'd suggest skipping the entrée course, and instead ordering an appetizer (Wisconsin trio) and dessert. Ask your server for suggestions-- ours concocted a heavenly creation for our dessert at our request. They often don't take reservations for just dessert (and you NEED reservations) so this is a sneaky way around having to drop $200 on a dinner for two and being able to fit in dessert.
