If Mama Bear goes to Home Depot, and Papa Bear goes to the local hardware store that's so dusty and crowded that you fear for your life when you walk in, then Baby Bear goes to Crest Hardware.
Crest is a big hardware store, clean, well kept with helpful staff who won't laugh at you if you say you need "one of those metal things, not the shiny kind, that holds that other piece on". They have a bigger, nicer variety than most neighborhood hardware stores, and it's not a huge warehouse store staffed by employees who don't take you seriously unless you have at least 3 visible power tool stores.
