There weren't any U-Haul's available in Ames when we needed them, so the closest option was Des Moines. Pickings were even getting slim there. It was a bit of a drag to have to pay diesel costs driving between the two cities, but everything was moved in one swoop.
We reserved a truck size and they had somehow messed up there weren't any that size, so we received a free upgrade which was a nice compensation. The kid running the place was a bit dorky, but competent amongst all of the lease-switching crisis.
