I had a hugh fear of having my first Pap Smear so I interviewed a few MDs here in town before I decided on Dr Gardner. At first she seemed to be caring and interested my overall health not just issues related to OB/GYN. THIS WAS A HUGH MISINTERPRETATION ON MY PART. The first clue should have been that on three different occasions there was no one in the waiting room (most great OB's here in town are packed with patients). Anyway, I requested that for my first time that only a Pap Smear be done and she agreed to that during the consultation appt. However, during the actual exam, while I lay crying, she did a breast exam and bi-manual exam without consent. I felt humiliated and when I questioned her she stated that she needed to do it because she does every exam that way and that it was what was best for me! Thanks to her I probably will never have another exam. I hope no one else has to experience this.
