Daltile carried both tile and slabs (granite, marble, etc.). You can make an appointment to meet with a sales associate but you can also just drop in to see the showrooms. The slabs are in a warehouse and they carry a pretty large selection of granites and marble. Daltile also carries a great selection of tiles, and they have many of the more basic style in stock. We used them to buy white 3 inch by 6 inch subway tiles. They carried those (along with all the trim pieces) in stock so you can pick them up right away. Prices were very reasonable.
