Ok, so it was mother's day but a 1.5 hour wait in between apps and the entree is a little extreme. I visited the big fat fish company in bellingham this weekend. They had a nice sushi selection which we started out with. Fresh rolls and decent prices. The entrees were less impressive. My ahi (ordered rare) was more than just seared on both sides and my mother in law's halibut was just luke warm. Not ideale. The server was very attentive so I'm inclined to think that the kitchen was just slammed but after an hour and a half with no food, even the most patient grew weary.
I'll give this 3 stars with the hope that the wait and mediocre food can be attributed to Mom's day.
