The food at Mexicali was great! It’s very much like a local neighborhood joint—with cool plastic neon chairs and tables. I had this delicious garlicky chicken, and washed it down with a local drink. I forget what it was made of—quince? It was quite sweet, and a perfect complement to the savory dishes.
