I don't know what it is about this place that makes me so happy. Perhaps it's the fun decor, the way they yell your order out over a microphone from some scribbles they make on an empty paper bag, perhaps it's that chocolate cake. Whatever it is, I am always ready to eat at Portillos.
They offer hot dogs, hamburgers, roast beef, sausage as well as salads, ribs and other fare. I particularly like their roast beef and cheddar on a croissant (heart attack) with a big hunk of chocolate cake for dessert. :-)
This place has been around since I was a kid and I love it as much now as I did then. I highly recommend it.
