Great place for cross country skiing 2/19/2006

Visiting relatives who live in Boulder and like to ski all winter long, they brought us to this great spot for cross country skiing (their favorite). The trails were extremely well kept and not crowded. The views, whether in the woods or of vast open space, were spectacular. The map showed 63 different trails totaling 125km, on 4000 acres of terrain. Trails are marked "easy", "moderate", and "difficult". We rented really nice skis and boots from really nice people. The facilities are also very pleasant, beautiful wooden ranch structures, including ski shop, snacks, spa, outdoor hot pools! They have cabins and fine dining, if you want to make a weekend out of it. While we were there it looks like some more facilities were under construction, as well. No downhill, all cross-country. It was a wonderful first time cross country experience for me & a favorite of my more experienced companions. more
