Possibly Connecticut's most beautiful state park. It is located on the grounds of the Harkness Estate and there are acres of green lawn rolling down to the water's edge. A great place for a romantic picnic.
There is a concert series during the summer months.
There is a fee for parking (somewhere in the neighborhood of $6-10) or buy a season pass.
